cannot get firefox to load onto my computer

for 2 days I have been trying to download Mozilla Firefox 30 to my laptop, Vista XP os and it will not take. I have tried everything from making sure all drivers are up to date to different versions of the program and nothing works. When I do attempt to download, sometimes I get a messge of "thank you for downloading Mozilla Firefox" but there is no sign of it on my laptop, why? What do I have to do to get it to load?

If the "stub" installer won't run, try the "full" installer from this page (scroll down to your language):

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

What browser are you using to try to download? Does the file show in its download history?

Try this instead:

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps in case your security software is causing this issue.
