Everytime I open Firefox, I either get a not responding page or a new tab page that won't let me open any website.

I am starting to get tired of not being able to use my Firefox web browser because everytime I do, it either opens and doesn't respond or it opens but it doesn't let me access any website or even my bookmarks.

I am having to use Google Chrome (which I do not like) but I can't update anything because I am not using Firefox or Internet Explorer.

probably your Internet security software (firewall or/and antivirus, antispyware) preventing Firefox from connecting to internet, see:
