My internet service provider only supports Firefox version 6.x.x, Where can I download version 6.0.X. I installed Firefox version 8 but it will not open, so I had to revert to version Firefox 3.6.x.

What particular ISP related thing that only supports Firefox 6.0.* ?. Or is this something that ISP support claims?

Firefox any version pretty much makes use of the internet connection to go online.

Firefox 6.0 is old and behind on a number of security updates.
