Firefox keeps jumping back to top of page.
Since the update to 142, on pretty much every site it keeps jumping back to the top of the page. Happens on a lot of sites. For some reason, if I select some text at the top of the page it seems to stop this. A lot of people may not have discovered this. Mozilla just needs to fix it. I am using Ubuntu 24.04. Been using Firefox for many years. Never seen this before.

Try to use mozregression to find a faulty commit. Thanks!
I have trouble understanding the guy's accent in the video. It looks like if it's returning to before the problem, it could revert to an earlier version, which Ubuntu would automatically post an update for it. Also, wouldn't I lose any added bookmarks, stored password changes, history, etc since then?
I think there was something screwy in the last big batch of Ubuntu updates. SmPlayer started crashing. I ended up uninstalling it & installing the Flatpak version. That works. Also, Dolphin also kept closing. I found a way to fix that. A command line that deletes all my setting changes. I changed things like icon preference back & so far that seems to have fixed it.
