Transferring TB data from old computer to new

richardj.aesl

I have installed Thunderbird on a new computer but can't transfer the data. I have followed the Mozilla instructions several times to go to help etc and cut and paste files. About 600 files are transferred but when I open the new Thunderbird there are only recent emails and no contacts. Any help?

The full instructions are here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer follow carefully and you will have 100% of your profile.

I have doing what the instructions and video say many times including using a pen drive and One drive. The process transfers about 600 files but email addresses do not appear in the new Thunderbird.

If you're referring to the addressbook, you can import that with tools>import or manually copy by exiting thunderbird and copying the abook.sqlite from old profile to the new one. The above mentioned process should have done that, though, because windows file explorer copies every file.

Clicking on resolved doesn't work. Thanks for your help. Using .sqlite file transfer worked. Regards

Thanks for the feedback. :)
