My MAC Firefox 39.0 causes youtube to deny application use. What's the problem?
Bloody hell. I'm on a public computer in the University of Manitoba Bannatyne Campus Med library and someone is trying to tell me that MAC Firefox, recently updated to version 39.0 on this computer, NOW no longer works properly for Flash?
I go to youtube, and start watching videos and quickly I get a user message telling me I am denied use of Firefox and then it just starts repeating this message and I get the ole rainbow wheel.
If I'm using a MAC, what am I supposed to do?
And DON'T say shift to a PC. What would a MAC owner be doing?
Thank you.
Issues of security on a process that is, as far as I know, the default process on a MAC machine?
So I'm stuck, when possible, using a Safari (yes, at least there are two browsers on this old O/S machine) version, like 5.1.1
I also use a website called Wattpad that seems to be giving me some problems. I'm not sure if it's related but..
The librarian says it cannot be fixed!
Thank you.

Have the librarian tell their computer guy;
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version 40
Update your Flash Player Version 18.0.0.232
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Note: Windows users must download the “Internet Explorer”
and “Plugin-based browsers” installers.
Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash.
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
Youtube uses HTML5 player when possible now.
Also it is possible the IT has made it so the library computers could not have full access to some sites.
