I downloaded but it doesn't appear as shortcut or in my HD. I searched on found it but it says it's not recognized and I can't open? I'm using Windows 8

It didn't appear that I had any problems downloading but it just isn't allowing my to use the browser. I copied the Mozilla.browser file that I found through a search on my HD to my desktop but when I click on it an icon appears that asks how I would like to open this file? "Would you like to search for the app"? Windows 8 user.
