I have no idea why this happened. I play Farmville every day and always use Firefox for Facebook. One morning I started getting the message that Firefox couldn't open because ,y profile is either missing o r inaccessible. I don't know what that means or what to do about it. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to no avail. HELP!!!!! Thank you! I can't do Automatice Troubleshooting for same reason. Can't use manual steps because I can't get to the Firefox start page!!!

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

hello Grameddeb, go to profile folder , find profiles.ini file, and delete it.

When you delete the profiles.ini file, a new default profile will be created the next time you start the application and a new profiles.ini file will be generated that references the new profile.

after that see: Recovering important data from an old profile

Transferring data to a new profile - Firefox

thank you
