I am having a problem installing Nikon Codec, software to view photos and get this error error message: Setup has experienced an error. Please do the following: -Close any running programs -Empty your temporary folder -Check your internet connection (Internet-based Setups) Then try to run setup again. Error code -6003. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
