Hi.
So first question is - did you update before closing or after, or do you have in on auto update and hence no constant control?
Do you know how to look for old Profiles where passwords and other historic data is store i.e
C:/Users/'your windows login name '/App Data/roaming/Mozilla/firefox/profiles
You can check the current location via the URL in firefox by typing [about:profiles]
