I'm trying to add an account for a google workspace email that has my username as address-not ending in @gmail

I have a Google Workspace account which has my company name as a suffix, ie. @chase-design.net NOT @gmail. com. When I try to add an account automatically using the company suffix, Thunderbird does not recognize it. Is there a set-up guide that shows me step by step how to manually configure that type of setup?

Because you are using a Google Workspace account you need to point Thunderbird to Google's servers.

Check your Account Settings

Incoming (IMAP) Protocol IMAP Server Name imap.gmail.com Port 993 Connection Security SSL/TLS Authentication Method OAuth2 Username Your full email (e.g., info@chase-design.net)

Outgoing (SMTP) Protocol SMTP Server Name smtp.gmail.com Port 465 Connection Security SSL/TLS Authentication Method OAuth2 Username Your full email (e.g., info@chase-design.net)
