I want to remove the bookmark thing under the address bar. I didnt put it there
is this a tip or a trick? I dont know. All of a sudden there are bookmarks under the address bar and I cannot find anything that tells you how to remove it. Doesnt seem like this should be so difflcult.

I think you are talking about the Bookmarks Toolbar. You could turn it off.
Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars {web link}
Type about:customizing<enter> in the address bar.
Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox v47+ releases.
- Press Alt or F10 to bring up the Menu Bar.Then View > Toolbars > Customize.
- Right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar and select Customize.
Look for Show / Hide Toolbars at the bottom left.
There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom middle.
