I do see referennces to "bookmarks". I have been working extenively on my PCs for years, had heard of bookmarks, but didn't know what they were. That shows the extent of my knowledge and interest. In other words I don't care what they are, I just want ny favourites back, please.

Firefox uses its own database to store the bookmarks. If you recently used another browser then you can import the bookmarks/favorites from this browser in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).

Did you previously used Firefox or is this the first time you installed Firefox?

Note that your Windows Vista platform is no longer officially supported, so the Firefox 52.9.0 version is the last version that you can use.
