Block website keyboard shortcuts from overriding browser shortcuts

Some websites have keyboard shortcuts that override Firefox's inherent shortcuts. For instance, I use CTRL+PGUP/PGDN to move between tabs, but Amazon's EC2 console supresses those shortcuts. Is there a way to tell Firefox "Assert your own keyboard shortcuts, and don't let websites override them"

I think this archived question (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/975506) was about the same issue, but the responses went down the path of "How does the website map the shortcuts" instead of "How can Firefox block javascript from being allowed to map those shortcuts"

This add-on can change the shortcuts that Firefox uses. It might help.

Customizable Shortcuts {web link} Allows to customize Firefox shortcuts.

Unfortunately, I don't want to change the shortcuts, I want Firefox to enforce them. My issue is that, if Firefox is intending to provide shortcuts to use for browsing the web, it should enforce that they work by blocking javascript from overriding that functionality.

Thanks. I installed free-control. It solves the issue with EC2, but I can confirm what the reviews say: it doesn't work for Google Drive. Better than nothing for now.
