I get the most generic error when trying to set up a backup password. This happens for any kind of password I try to input, including the same one used in my Mozilla account. This happens whether the password is simple or complex, regardless of length or characters.

I desperately need your help. My brother died last weekend. And I need to access his Firefox. Is there any way to reset or remove the primary password? I really hope some can help me out.

A box shows up on my screen when I log into various sites. It says: Password Required - Mozilla Firefox Please enter your Primary Password I have tried several different passwords but none of them have worked. I have to click on cancel and it often disappears and comes back again immediately. It is annoying. How do I get rid of it. I have been using Firefox for several years. This has only started happening recently.

I recently added a primary password to FF. I wrote it down, but FF says I'm using the wrong one already. I can't turn it off and I can't change the password. I'm in a loop. How do I get out?

How can improve my firefox’s password list's security, because for example if someone gains unauthorised access to my device PC or phone they will be able to see all the passwords, how can I add an extra lay of security? Thanks

During the last 2 weeks, I have been unable to view and use my AOL emails, for the login page demands that I enter my mozilla primary password--the existence of which was unknown to me and thus, I never knew what it was and never had to use it in any way. I assume one was set when I began tom use firefox probably back in 2016. My big problem is that I must be able to use my AOL email system to complete various essential needs, How can I fix this idiocy that apparently places some kind of security above sane simplicity and ease of use for normal people who are not computer or Internet experts?

this request by mozilla keeps appearing. i dont have a PIN. its difficult to get around. takes about three or four times so I can access page i am requesting. In this case Paypal.

After liking what I heard about using a master password, esp. when using a dated OS like W7, I created a MP. I then stepped over to my W10 machine and did the same. A few days later I tired of the MP popup, and decided to remove passwords for financial sites, etc., and just leave the saved passwords in my browser. A week later I went to my W10 machine and the MP query popped up. I couldn't, and can't remember, the last 3 characters of my MP.

Is it possible to reset the MP without the MP? I don't care about losing the stored passwords that are on the W10 machine. I'll deal with them individually. Help? Thanks.

Forgot Primary Password Or Never Had One in the First Place! I Don't Know Or Remember Regardless I Can't Log in! Can You Fix This For Me Please ? I Can't Fix It at my End At all! I Try Only To Fail!

I forgot the primary password on one of my devices, but I still remember the password for my other devices. I want to be able to reset the password on one of the devices, but I am worries that I will lose all of my saved passwords on all of my devices.

I thought I'd try enabling the Primary Password feature to make my stored passwords more secure, and it works on my desktop, the problem is it doesn't seem to work at all on Firefox for Android and all my stored passwords are still freely available on my phone without entering the Primary Password. That makes it a pretty pointless feature unless you only use Firefox on a desktop. Also my phone is more likely to get stolen and leak all my stored passwords than my desktop.

after using firefox for many, many years, today i keep getting a request for a primary password. i have never had to have this before & do not know why is being asked now...when did this become a requirement & how do i get my password information back? i have never set up any kind of password for firefox. i have tried current passwords & old passwords i would have used & it will not accept anything.

When I start windows 11 on my laptop and open my browser page I no longer have the option to activate my saved passwords. How do I activate my saved passwords manually?
