Is Thunderbird 149.0 a release or a beta?

I installed Thunderbird 149.0 on Linux Mint 22.2 and I can't figure out if it's a release or a beta. On the downloads page, the "Release" section lists 148.0.1. The "Beta… (lexoni më tepër)

I installed Thunderbird 149.0 on Linux Mint 22.2 and I can't figure out if it's a release or a beta. On the downloads page, the "Release" section lists 148.0.1. The "Beta" section lists 149.0b4. The "Help - About Thunderbird Beta" window says "Release notes." I'm confused: what are these?

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. not sending SMTP email since update

Yesterday Thunderbird upgraded itself to a version which will no longer run Lightning. For me, this is a crisis as I need access to my calendar. Please don't suggest I get a working copy of Lightning and install it, as apparently no such thing exists.

How do I roll-back to the previous working version? I am running Ubuntu 16.04. I have no idea what the last working version of Thunderbird was but my current (broken) version is 60.2.1.

I am trying to setup Thudnerbird to retrieve my Outlook365 emails from the University.

The software has been able to validate the servers, IMAP and SMTP, however when testing I receive an error message saying the the "Username or Password is invalid".

I don't know how much this relates but I am afraid the Micorosoft accounts through school use some kind of double authentication or similar.

Any help will be greatly appreciate it.

I am trying to add a new email account to my Thunderbird. I go to Create a new account -> email, click on "Skip this and use my existing email" which takes me to Mail Account Setup. I enter my name, my email address (jmcarron@wavecable.com) and password. Thunderbird then finds and returns a configuration. The configuration does not work as listed and I got suggested changes from my ISP. However all of the options return the same message: Configuration could not be verfied - is the username or password wrong? Both the username and password are correct but that is as far as I get.
