Apparently, I was over-zealous in tidying up some things at my Fastmail account (e-mail service provider), and I removed authorization for Thunderbird to access it.

When I open Thunderbird, it asks for re-authorization. See my first screenshot. This page is blank, so I there's nothing I can do with it. It is blank even after I start my Macintosh in safe mode and then start Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode.

So I made a back-up copy of my profile, deleted my Fastmail account in Thunderbird, and tried to set up my account again. See my second screenshot. Thunderbird hangs while looking up the configuration, and there is no way apparent way to set up the account manually.

So I am stuck. How can I either re-authorize Thunderbird (obviously, the preferred outcome) or re-create my account in Thunderbird?

I added a new account in the latest version of Thunderbird, but not all sub-folders are shown, and some sun-folders failed to include any messages. The account is hosted by Network Solutions, having the following server settings:

IMAP Mail Server Name: netsol-imap-oxcs.hostingplatform.com Port: 993 Outgoing Server Name: netsol-smtp-oxcs.hostingplatform.com Port: 587 User Name: [hidden].com Authentication method: Normal password Connection Security: SSL/TLS

How can I get the missing messages and folders into Thunderbird? Do I need to delete this account and add it back?

Thank you/Steve K.

Recent new system. Previously used Office Outlook and backed everything up to a PST file. Found I couldn't import into Thunderbird, needed to install Outlook first and import it there. Did that. So I have an Office 365 Subscription active and have Outlook active. Now I'm trying to get those messages to Thunderbird, but when I go to Import and select Import From Outlook I get a red error "No profile found" and can't continue. Is there something I need to do regarding Outlook for Thunderbird to recognize it?

Hi,

I'm using Thunderbird 137. Since Thunderbird 128, CalDAV synchronization has been integrated in Thunderbird, through New Calendar > On my network.

When I try to use this setting (writing https://my-nextcloud-instance.com/ in the Location field), I am only able to add to Thunderbird the calendars I've created on my Nextcloud server. But I've also add webcal subscriptions in this Nextcloud server, and these don't show up.

How do I import webcal subscriptions from a CalDAV cloud calendar in Thunderbird? This should be possible since it was possible with TBSync and is possible on Android with DavX⁵.

I have been successfully using Thunderbird for several weeks with my Protonmail account. I have four Proton calendars that I created as "on the network" using the links provided by Proton Calendar with full edit permissions.

This all worked fine up until yesterday: I could create, edit, delete events in all four calendars and they were synced to Proton without issue.

Starting today, I now get this message when I try to create, edit, or delete events in any calendar:

An error occurred when writing to the calendar calendar! Please see below for more information. Error code: MODIFICATION_FAILED. Description: If you're seeing this [etc. etc.]

I checked the Console log and all it contains is the exact same message.

I can successfully edit the calendar in Proton, and changes still sync to Thunderbird.

Things I have tried: - Upgrading both Thunderbird and Proton calendar to latest releases - Unsubscribing from the calendar in Thunderbird and creating a new subscription - Creating a brand new calendar in Proton (export all events from old calendar, import to new) and subscribe to that calendar - Clearing Thunderbird's cache - Asking for help in the Proton help forums

Any suggestions are very welcome. To reiterate, this started spontaneously today.
