I currently use an extension to fill passwords, so I have passwords in firefox turned off. However, one of my logins shows an 'eye' which I believe is firefox wanting to provide the password. I don't know how the eye got there, as all my other logins work with the extension. I have to go to the extension and physically copy the password to paste it in the password box. If I go to firefox settings, I have no passwords set. How do I get rid of the 'eye' for that login?

Using iOS on Mac Mini desktop, I get no sound on democracynow.org but on the iPhone the sound works fine. Most other streams/videos have fine sound but not imdb.com on the desktop with iOS but again, fine on the iPhone.

I can't access "settings." When I click "Settings" a faint shadow around the edges of my screen appears, but the actual page does not load. Sometimes, Firefox itself won't open for several days so I've had to start using an alternate browser when this happens. Is this a known issue?

After update to 140.0.2, clicking on Firefox icon in the dock does nothing. The title bar says Firefox is active, but nothing shows on my screen. What changed? Did you reset something in my preferences?

Recently all my 100 plus Bookmarks all went to Grey Globes. Never had this issue in years with Firefox. I am working on Mac OS desktop version Ventura 13.7.5 and Firefox 140.0.4. How do I get all my bookmarks to come back to normal? I tried hard refresh and cleared my cache.

Yesterday I opened Firefox and found that it had completed a factory reset (without asking me) and I have lost all of my data and settings, particularly from plugins (Simple Tab Groups for example). I have a folder called Old Firefox Data on my desktop, and I have copied the files into the profiles folder from about:support, but I have still lost all my settings.

This is extremely frustrating and will take a lot of time to get everything back to how it was. Please let me know how to restore to my old state.

I can't remember my Firefox log in ID and password and I need to sign in. At the sign in window for Firefox there is not option to click on "forgot password" or "forgot User ID" . Does any one know how to recover that information?

i attempted to update my Firefox this morning and the app froze and refused to reopen after multiple attempts. i decided to throw the app away and re-download firefox on my desktop, but now have no access to my bookmarks, open tabs (history) and passwords. please assist!

I want to set firefox to use noai.duckduckgo as my default search engine so I can continue to type queries in the address bar. How can i change the settings to include noai.ddg as a default option?

A few days ago, my Firefox installation stopped auto-completing my URLs. I didn't think much of it. But I tried looking up my history and bookmarks today, and they're both gone. History won't update, and I can't add new bookmarks. In-page autocomplete still works.

My Firefox version is 140.0.2 for MacOS on an M1 Mac Mini. I'd recently update my computer's operating system before I noticed the issue, and I had to do a hard power-down a day or two afterward. I do not know if the issue began before or after the hard shutdown.

Ever since the most recent firefox update, my screensaver doesn't appear after laptop has been idle. According to the Mac Activity monitor, Firefox is blocking it. I've tried quitting Firefox and restarting, and also restarting laptop, but no solution.
