I usually have checked the option for clearing cookies and site data every time I close Firefox. However there is an exception list where I add sites I visit often and I prefer to keep its browsing data. This list of exceptions seems to be ignored. The sites I have in the list lose all their browsing data.

The only solution I have found so far is not check the option to clear browsing data.

I remember this function stopped working correctly right after I decided to wipe all browsing data manually.

For the last three days or so I have been haivng problems with loggin in to sites. I no longer log in automatically to my many of the sites I use, particularly those set for my home page such as IMDB.com, ebay, web.whatsapp.com etc. Everytime I restart firefox I have to log in again. This started I think wit hthe latest update 155.0.1 (my current version) installed 5th sept 26 or 155.0 installed 3 sept 26

It doesn't seem to be reading the cookies that exist. I have it configure so all cookies are cleared on exit except those in the exception list, which are those for my home page plus about 30 others I log into. There is definitely cookie data there for these sites. I hve tried everythinig but this clearly seems to be a bug. at the moment I am using Opera since the necessity to keep loggin in to every site every time is just too much.

Hello, I wanted to ask about this new site permission.

I previously used the "set cookies" permission for specific sites to keep their data after closing Firefox (Dev Edition), but now we have this "keep site data when closing" permission, can I just rely on this new permission instead? I should probably test it, but I wanted to ask first :p

Was I using the "set cookies" permission incorrectly this whole time?!

I saw a very confident by a 'support volunteer' that the interface contains controls to delete traces.

Show me in the in interface where these files can be deleted:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0NB2KS6j.Profile 1\cache2\entries

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0NB2KS6j.Profile 1\safebrowsing

Some very bold claims that I don't see backed up by anything having to do with reality.

Hi, your last update ( 153.0.3) broke my ability to stay signed into or go back to known web sites I have put in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data”. I do clear all the Cookies and Data when I close the browser but now it looks like Cookies and Data is deleted in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data” also. I would love to do a redo on this update and reload the old version. The browser also is showing my PC is Windows 10 and it has been on Windows 11 for 3 years now.

Since last week there is a cookie that I can not remove in the Manage cookies and website data panel. It is called about.ef2a7dd5-93bc-417f-a698-142... There is probably more but that is not shown in my view. How can I remove that?

Every time I select Gmail on Firefox page, it requires me to sign in with a code. I have selected 'Strict' for browser privacy and 'Clear history after closing Firefox'... plus a number of other settings. I then get a notice of someone signing into my account each time, as does the person who I use as a backup to my account. I'd like not to go through that each time I access my Gmail account.

I cannot get into my online accounts, as I have always done for years. After I select the site, the screen looks like it is working, but then a new empty window pops up: the tab says "citi 400 Bad Request" At the top of the empty screen it says: Bad Request. Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

I have one website that gives me a "Secure Connection Failed" If I click on the icon in the left address bar on mybrowser, I am given an option to "Clear cookies and site data" I click that and then appears a blue button at top that says "Clear" Now when I do a refresh of the tab, everything loads fine. This is Newsmax.com I read the news there. IS there a way to into Firefox settings and make an exception to https"//newsmax.com and make it so I don't have to keep clicking "Clear Site Data and Cookies" ? Thanks!

With the new organization of Settings, my list of cookies has disappeared. I was trying to delete cookies from a specific site, but when I go to that option in "settings," there is no list of cookies.

I have tried restarting both Firefox and my computer and the list is still missing.

Any suggestions on getting it back?

I couldn't log into a site and it was suggested to 'clear cache' as follows: - settings - privacy and security - cookies and site data - clear browsing data BUT only cookies and temp cache sites. By mistake I believe I ticked browsing and download history too, and looks as though it is irrersible? Now I no longer automatically get all the little boxes I used to get for usual regular log ins (eg The Times, Meteo, banks, email etc) I think I can use 'add shortcuts' and re-enter these, but any other suggestions? Hello! I was just flushing my cache and i saw this number... o+I'm just curious how that could be possible? And where has those data been stored? I don't have that space...
