I am having trouble signing into some of my web sites. This problem just started. I have tried everything even uninstall and re-install. Nothing works. What do I need to do?

I cannot access my xfinity account due to my anti-virus (Eset) blocking Firefox's access to assets.xfinity.com

Hi, for about the last week (23 Feb 2026) when watching videos in my Firefox Browser, there are short stutters. First noticed in Youtube, so looked for updates to UBO and other extensions. Then noticed the same thing in BBC iPlayer and my4 streaming. It also happens when watching my media via Plex in the browser. It is not my network bandwidth or speed.

When I watch media via my Plex app or videos on VLC media player, there is no stutter.

I don't know if this is caused by a Firefox update, a Windows update. Laptop: Asus ROG Flow X16 (2023); Intel i9-13900H, Intel Irix Xe; NVIDIA RTX 4070 (mobile) Firefox 148.0 (64bit)

I use Firefox as my desktop (and phone) browser. Recently my desktop cannot open my USBank Online banking service (my Android Firefox phone browser works fine). The USBank customer technical service agent tells me that their software does not recognize the Firefox browser - he says that AVG Secure, Microsoft Edge , and Google Chrome work fine). How do I rectify this without changing browsers? I've used Firefox for opver a decade without trouble. Help!

I know that there is already default containers built-in without the need of the extension. But there's no way to open tabs in containers when we click a link, only when it's typed in. There's an option in settings that allow to pick a container when a new tab is opened, but that's it. It would also be great to move the Mozilla VPN and integration and sync function from the extension to the settings page for easier access.

This is a new laptop. I have it established to open previous windows when I turn the laptop on. Firefox is also supposed to automatically start. Neither thing is happening. Why?

This has started a few days ago. I'm running Firefox Desktop on Windows 11. Browsing is perfectly normal, until I try to watch a video in full screen mode. It plays normally for a few seconds and then my whole system freezes, with no response to any action except for hard reset. This has never happened to me before, and all other browsers I try do not demonstrate the same problem. Is there any solution other than changing browser permanently?

I logged into my computer this morning and opened up Firefox, went to a online account to login and clicked on passwords from the sidebar and when it opened up it stated that I had no passwords saved and my profile had also been disconnected. I reconnected with my profile and all of my passwords are missing. Where are they?

I have been using the same firefox account for six years, and when the update that added user profiles came out, I successfully transferred all of my information to a profile. Well, today my firefox wasn't responding, so I used task manager to close it and restarted my computer. When I opened firefox again, it prompted me to select or create a profile to continue browsing. Crucially, it did not list the profile I had been using as an option, so I created a throwaway profile so look up what was going on and how to fix it. I tried logging into my mozilla account; no record of my previous browsing data, bookmarks, or extensions. I tried following the steps in the "Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile" article from Mozilla Support, but my old profile no longer appears in the profiles folder on my computer. I'm worried that if I keep messing around trying to restore my old data, I'll do some irreparable damage and never be able to get it back. Is there anything I can do in this situation?

since Vers. 142 I am having a really bad and wasteful time searching for my previous tabs when firefox is closed....initially it worked, but now RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION IS NOT ON THE MENU UNDER HISTORY.... WHY IS THIS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH UPDATES???? IT SEEMS THAT THE UPDATES WHEN LISTED DON'T SHOW HAVING ANY TAB INFO, BUT SURE AS DAY/NITE WHEN I TURN MY DESKTOP AND FIREFOX, TABS ARE MISSING AND I CAN'T RECOVER THEM.

IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THE DESIGNERS REALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WELL, THEY SHOULD BE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS HAPPENS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

CAN'T "SNIP" A PICTURE OF MENU, SO HOW WOULD I MAKE A COPY OF IT SO YOU CAN SEE THAT RESTORE PREV. SESS. IS MISSING?

Hi why have firefox started to close tabs when browser beeing closed? Allready checked the usual sugggestions like open previous, private mode etc. Assuming this relates to an update because have same issue on several computers ( same account)

Добрый день. Проблема наблюдается примерно около полугода. В браузере открыто несколько вкладок, не закрываются (новости, ВК, поиск, различные статьи и тд.). Происходит следующее: читаю активную вкладку, строго через определенное время, без каких-либо действий с моей стороны, активная вкладка меняется, т.е. открыты вкладки 1-5, активная 2, через 10 мин (до переустановки мозиллы всегда одно время) активной становится 4, к примеру. Раньше фокус перемещался на вкладку поиска Yandex, если закрыть вкладку с Яндексом проблема уходила! Я удалил браузер Yandex и все что было от него (автозагрузку, планировщик заданий), переустановил Firefox. Какое-то время все работает, но потом начинается снова, тут время переключения меняется. В последний раз (после удаления Яндекса) фокус стал переключаться на mail.ru, значит яндекс тут не при чем. Если закрыть Mail проблемы нет, если открыть страницу снова, то примерно через 1 мин. открывается mail.ru. Доп. информация Windows 11, плагинов и расширений в мозилле нет, пробовал работать в безопасном режиме браузера - не помогает, перезагрузка не помогает, помогает только закрытие "маркированных" страниц, проверял на вирусы NOD32, cureIT в безопасном режиме работы ОС, вирусов нет. Очень прошу помочь с решением!

All of a sudden (after a recent update I suppose) every time I start to type anything in the "search" in the middle of my "home" screen, the curser jumps to the address space in the toolbar. I hate that! I want to continue to use search in the middle of the screen as I have for years since I started using browsers. I've tried looking at the setting for "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" and it is set to "false" as was recommended in another post some years ago. What do I have to do to revert back to the way it was before this change was forced on me?

I just upgraded my Dell desktop computer -- Win 11 and some other hardware tweaks. Everything is fine -- but an old problem that was resolved some time ago in this forum has reemerged. My mouse wheel does not scroll properly at all with Google Calendar. I recall a simple solution on this forum that worked perfectly a few years ago when I originally set up the computer. It has apparently been removed, and I can not find anything to resolve the matter. Does anyone recall the secret formula? Is it hidden away somewhere? The scrolling is so convenient, and the instinct is hard to break.

I sent another help request on this subject but that too seems to have gone AWOL so I am trying again.

My passwords are being randomly wiped from my PC yet again but this time, although they are still on my Google Pixel 7 phone, Sync is not working for passwords. Strangely however, tabs are being synced.

I have tried every suggestion that I have found but syncing is just not happening.

To re-cap:- Passwords are not being synced from phone to PC Tabs are being synced between phone and PC.

Any suggestions?

Hello. Is it possible to hide or delete the "Search bookmarks," "Manage bookmarks," and "Other bookmarks" options in Firefox? I personally never use them, so I'd like to remove them if possible. I was wondering why there are two "Manage bookmarks" items in the "Bookmarks menu."

I have installed Windows 11 to replace Windows 10 but my bookmarks in Firefox have disappeared, is there a way to retrieve my bookmarks that always appeared each time I opened Firefox?
