Hi, I've just seen the new Firefox VPN option, and while having a integrated VPN into the browser may be handy, I was curious as to where the servers/exit nodes where situated. Also, a nice feature to add would be to display where our current exit node is located. Best regards, D.N.

I am trying to pay a bill to ceyouny, for a seminar I will be attending online. Instructions indicate I can pay it by my VISA card or by PayPal. I hit the icon to pay by credit card. I involve Firefox, believing, from the instructions, that is how to authentic myself with PayPal for using that card. and am shunted into PayPal. I enter PayPal, using my PayPal password. To authenticate myself (?) I take a photo of a square code and enter a number sent to my email. I am now, as a result, involved in this interaction with Firefox, I don't know if I am in the right place, or what to do next. Can you help me?

I am filing my taxes through Intuit. Something I have done for years with NO problem. I realize my system is old and something about the security certificate somewhere is not correct and cannot be changed. I am NOT a technician and all this security stuff is way above me. Normally a box pops up saying Advanced settings and another box that allows me to Trust the site and I am logged in. Now I want Intuit to download my CRA information and it cannot because of this certificate thing and there is no bypass. So now you want me to contact the web owner, whoever that is, the Government of Canada??? Good luck. and have a technical discussion that requires at least three degrees from MIT, which I do not have, to solve the issue???? This is bloody nuts and now I cannot file my taxes. I am about to go totally insane. This is way beyond the average individual's skill set.

Does anyone know how I can get around this??

However, this post is for the condition where these messages are received yet your IP address is clean.

I have two browsers installed Firefox and Chrome. Firefox has problems with an ever increasing number of websites (that are switching to Akamai Edgesuite) while Chrome marches on without issues.

I recently discovered the Browser User Agent identification string that is used by the server to determine what browser it is talking to. This is useful for serving content correctly to different types of devices like a phone or PC. You can find your Browser User Agent string here:

So thinking that this might be Firefox's problem I copied the string from my working Chrome installation and added it to Firefox. Unfortunately the issue continues.

So somehow Edgesuite is using something MORE than just the user agent string to kick Firefox to the curb. Does anyone have any clues as to what this might be and how to get Firefox in the good graces of Edgesuite?

I am a big fan of the new VPN feature that you guys introduced that is strictly for browser. There are only two current issues i have with them and its the limited bandwidth of 50 GB that is very low and i would like the option to pay a reasonable price for unlimited. Also when i disable the vpn for a website there is a blue pop up in the corner every time i tab over or open the specific page on a new tab that i can't disable or change the behavior in any manner.

I'm sick of clicking on what I think might be an interesting story only to find I'm not allowed on the site without an account so I'd like to block them from being included in "thought-provoking stories".

I’ve been having a performance problem with Firefox that only happens when I play the Letter Boxed web game from the New York Times.

When I open the puzzle in Firefox (latest version), the letters load fine, but as soon as I start typing, the browser becomes laggy input delays, slow animations, and occasionally the whole tab freezes for a few seconds. I’ve tried the following, but none have fixed it:

Restarting Firefox Disabling all add-ons Clearing cache and cookies Updating Firefox to the latest version Running in Safe Mode

Other websites and games work normally, and the issue only appears with this specific NYT game. It also doesn’t happen in other browsers on the same machine.

System Info: ‑ OS: Windows 10 ‑ Firefox Version: (latest stable) ‑ RAM: 16 GB ‑ CPU: Intel i5

Questions:

Is this a known issue with Firefox and the Letter Boxed game? Are there specific settings (hardware acceleration, graphics) that I should adjust? How can I troubleshoot what is causing the lag within Firefox?

I love Firefox and have used it forever. But its memory usage is killing me lately and I'm seriously reconsidering.... PC, Win11, Intel7, 16GB memory. (I'm typing this from Chrome)

I've updated, restarted, but it keeps maxing out and slowing my computer to a crawl. Somebody please tell me there's a fix pending?

I was on a website for Met Opera, buying tickets and suddenly a widget appeared on the lower left corner that says: Opt-Out Signal Honored. Not only did I Opt Out, but I no longer can navigate the website, and there is no visible way to cancel this. Please help. It does not appeaer on other web pages, or other browsers. What is this? I've tried locating it in settings, and settings does not have that privacy option checked. How can I remove it? thank you, Anne Marie Mascia

for context: my laptop was working/running completely fine last night, as of about midnight (east coast). booted it up around noon today to see that it was super slow and kinda laggy (this is a windows problem, not a firefox one, don't try and fix that, i know it sucks), and that if i restarted/shut down, it would automatically update (not what i wanted). when i did finally begrudgingly restart my laptop, it auto-updated as windows does, and i expected to open up firefox and go on with my day.

unfortunately, it prompted me to make a new user. and when i signed into my firefox account, it treated the browser that i have used for at least 8 months like i had freshly downloaded it. all of my history on here is gone. all of my bookmarks are gone. when i connected my phone to try and sync from what i had left before i updated, all my sync information went down the drain and is completely gone as well. i really don't understand what went wrong here, and i'm honestly devastated that all of my work and my history has to be painstakingly rebuilt.

if anyone has any idea of what happened here, it'd make me feel a little better and try to avoid it in the future.

So, today I found that absolutely all of my tab groups have been wiped from existence. Not passwords, bookmarks, history, extensions or anything of the sort. Just tab groups specifically. Everything else in my profile is still here. I tried restoring from a backup using the Session History Scrounger at https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html but my closest backup was a March 26th one that is missing an entire tab group created after that date.

I tried searching other solutions to my issue, but nothing has worked so far. It doesn't have anything to do with updates as the last one happened on March 26th and I definitely used the tab groups after that point. I'm at a complete loss on what I am supposed to do, as I lost ~600 tabs combined across all groups

When I go to Firefox to check the certificates from Newsmax+, nothing is listed. I tried to log onto the Newsmax+ TV channel, it says that my login values are not valid. Even though I can log onto the website on my computer, and my payments are up to date, I can't get the TV to accept my credentials.
