I can't cut andpaste in webmail-Firefox prevents this

My web,ail insists on opening a new window (which it says is caused by Firefox security settings) when I try to cut and paste in a hyperlink into an e mail. As a result the hyperlink is not hyper linked and has to be cut and pasted into address bar.
