Except where noted, everything here applies only to Firefox 147 and the Firefox 140.7 ESR. Firefox 140 is the current ESR, so, going forward, no enterprise changes will be backported to Firefox 128 ESR.

Bug Fixes

  • A performance regression affecting extension native messaging was fixed. In earlier Firefox 140-series builds, native messaging operations could experience significantly increased latency, impacting enterprise extensions that communicate with external processes. This was fixed in bug 2002517.

Special Notes

  • If you are using Trellix DLP Endpoint for Windows and encounter crashes when dragging and dropping files, change the security.sandbox.content.close-ksecdd-handle preference to false.
