I am unable to access my usual sites such as @creates or Civil service.Gov.UK or Civil Service Jobs - GOV.UK I am getting this message when I attempt to:

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to atcreates.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

"civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site. The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it."

Advance provides: Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue.

Web sites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates.

I start FF in safe-mode. I open a local page which includes only one URL. When I hover on this link I see (`tcpdump`) a DNS lookup being performed for this domain. I followed the suggestions from Mozilla but I still see this.

How do I stop this access.

I use FF "156.0 (64-bit)" on Fedora 44.

Until this last update, I had no issue with accessing https://shopgoodwill.com/. Now when I try, I get access denied. I can access the site using Edge.

Using Mozilla VPN (Flathub version 2.39), Firefox Multi-account Containers won't let me assign a location per container as it did with the APT version - instead, under each container config it just says "Get Mozilla VPN" on a blue button.

But it does use the old config I had (so my old "US" container still exits in the USA, for instance).

This occurred on my old Ubuntu 24.04 system, using Gnome desktop; and also now on my new KDE system (Plasma 6.7.4) even if I tweak "configure permissions" in Discover to allow access to everything.

There was something changed with the latest update 156.0.1 in regards to how new tabs open. I have been using the extension "Always right" for years as I wanted all my newly opened tabs and bookmarked websites to open right next to the one I am at, in order that I open them in. Had no issues until the recent update. So tabs and bookmarks.

To explain this better, lets start with tabs only. Scenario 1 - say the tab I am on is "youtube" and the tab right from it at this moment is "google" tab. So: youtube > google > rest of tabs. While on youtube, I click on 3 videos/links from that "youtube" tab to be opened as new tabs, in the order that I want to watch them, using the middle mouse button. It used to open them in order: youtube > 1st vid > 2nd > 3rd > google > rest. In other words, it pushed the "google" tab and opened the new video tabs in order that I clicked them in between the two. Scenario 2 - bookmarked toolbar links. They behave similar but slightly different since opening those instantly jumps to the tab, which is fine. If I use the middle mouse button to open amazon for example while I am on the "youtube" tab, it would do the same thing: youtube > amazon > google > rest, only it will instantly jump to amazon, but the important part is that amazon is next to the tab I was on (youtube in this case).

Now though, in scenario 1 with tabs, if I open 3 new video tabs from the "youtube" tab, the LATEST one is the one that ends up next to the first one, so youtube > 3rd video > 2nd > 1st > google > rest. In other words, ANY new tab is forced next to the current one, rather than in the order of opening like it was before.

Turning the extension off "fixes" scenario 1 and opens them in order again, but then opening a bookmarked website from your toolbar shoots you ALL THE WAY to the right. So scenario 2 is ruined. To extend on the previous example from scenario 2, if I have "youtube" and "google" is next to it, and I go to open amazon from my toolbar, it goes youtube > google > rest > amazon. With 3 tabs that might not be that big of an issue, but when you have 100 tabs and I am currently doing work on tab 1, your bookmarked link that you just opened with middle mouse button suddenly catapults you and opens as 101 instead of 2... I hope this is a bit clearer as to why it is a problem. You could have both scenarios work before with just this simple extension, but the update is now forcing me to choose between tabs opening properly in order as they should OR bookmark toolbar links opening next to the one I am on.

If there was some change to how tabs open in the latest update and the idea was to no longer need the extension, can we at least have the option to ALSO have any new websites opened from the bookmark toolbar open NEXT to our current one rather than at the very end?

When I start Firefox, open the application menu, and select Bookmarks, about 50 Bookmarks are displayed under "Recent bookmarks". Many of the bookmarks are not recent. Some are months old and several might be years old.

I've used Firefox for years and only noticed this because I'm trying to help a friend who is having trouble with and old Windows 10 laptop. I installed Firefox 1560.1 (64bit) and added a lot of folders and bookmarks using "Manage bookmarks" or Ctrl-Shift-o. It currently only has 42 bookmarks displayed under "Recent Bookmarks" because I started Rt-clicking and deleting them before I figured that this deletes the bookmark that I had added to a folder in addition to removing it from the Recent bookmark list.

I feel this feature (Recent Bookmarks) totally negates the privacy and security that the Clear Browsing data and Never remember history options USED to give me.

I already have a windows vpn and do not want the mozilla vpn subscription when i run out of the free 50 gb of data. How do i disable it ?

It seems you are only trying to monetise it instead of being of service like you always were.

My system froze abruptly while I was browsing on Firefox. Cursor was useless. What should I do if/when that happens again? And how can I prevent the freeze from happening?

Trying to add an extension my mypoints.com, I have the site allowed for downloads but when I try, I receive a message that it is blocked from being downloaded.

Hello, We are in Morocco, where Time zone has become GMT+00 or UTC after the 20th Sept 2026, the IANA has already published this change within 2026c update, but Firefox browser desktop still using GMT+1 for Africa/Casablanca time zone.

Также в браузере firefox не мог зайти на литературный сайт author.today, и в игру Forge of Empires.

Прошли сутки, изменений не произошло, - по прежнему нет доступа к сайтам. При попытке посетить “Справочный центр” тоже ничего не происходит.

Другие сайты, например, Telegram, или inbox.lv , доступны для работы.

I use a local .html file as my home page in FieFox. There is no problem setting it to be used by the "homepage" icon on the toolbar, the little house. But now, unlike for years, I can not set it to be opened when I click the + to create a new tab. How can I work around this conflict with my long established patterns?
