I have imported a public key in my openpgp key-management/ In my settings of the end -to-end keys: preference of key technology: choose auto the key technology by the available keys. I have read openpgp standard supports inline en s/mime encryption but what is used by thunderbird when I choose openpgp as key encryption when i type/send an email (w/o attachment by myself). I ask it because my correspondent only decrypts inline encryption.

Running Thunderbird 115.10.1 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. Mail stopped communicating. Tried using the "Access Account Setup" for existing Email. Put in full name, email address and password and clicked continue to have Thunderbird configure the settings automatically. Did not work with auto settings (POP3). Went back to "Access Account Setup" for Existing Email and instead of clicking continue, I selected "Configure manually". Tried putting in the IMAP protocols and correct port settings, but the "Done" button is grayed out. I am at a loss of what to do to get my email back up and running and at the same time don't want to lose and emails/folders that are currently set up. Any help would be great.

Using 115.10.1 and POP on Windows 10 Pro (v. 22H2) with just the Windows built-in virus protection enabled (but App or Browser Control is disabled). Platform seems stable, no evidence of nefarious services noted in task manager.

Realized the emails in InBox from a couple of days ago (and going back decades) were blank or had mismatched headers to content. Figured an index problem. Ran the Repair under 'InBox' folder Properties, and only a few of the most recent emails remain - all duplicates of which I had sorted into other folders.

All the other folders are fine - just my InBox got wiped! Looked in the Thunderbird folder under profiles and saw the above captioned with a time-stamp that captures the approximate time this went down - occum's razor. I did not initiate any update to Thunderbird.

Walking on eggshells and very nervous, we're talking thousands of emails, what is the recommended recovery of the InBox (after I attempt to backup what I have left). Thanks!

Hello, I did look for related posts but found nothing close enough to this so I thought I would create a post. I don't ever recall having this issue before v102 was introduced but now it happens once in a while but not always.

If I am in the inbox of my main mail account and choose to delete a message, it goes away and then reappears almost immediately. There is a box that shows up at the bottom right of the screen that says: The current operation on inbox did not succeed. The mail server for account (my main mail account is shown) responded: UID MOVE failed. This account is in Canada on the Bell Canada network so perhaps it is an ISP issue?

I have 3 mail accounts set up - all IMAP. If I close TB and reopen it, the message is gone as if it required the program to close in order to complete the delete request.

If anyone has experienced this and has any suggestions or tips, it will be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Mike

I'm trying to use Thunderbird to access my work emails directly. They use Outlook Office 365, which I can use the webmail version of just fine, but a year ago they upgraded to Oauth2 and MFA and for the life of me I cannot get any version of Thunderbord to work with it anymore. I can send an email, but I can access any email on the server. Weirder still is the error console message suggest the program thinks I cancelled my password entry;

Since last update, Reminders pop up window will not close as before when the reminders are all cleared. Have too manually close the window. Saw this was an issue many versions ago that seemed to be cleared after an update. I could find no way to "fix" the issue. Is this a new bug?

Everything is gone? All my organized folders, everything. It prompts me to set up everything again. It then gives more prompts I don't understand. What should I do? This is a disaster

After importing events from the old ics calendar into the existing CalDav calendar. TB sent invitations out to all attendees, even for past meetings. How to avoid this?

in my 'podcasts' folder I have ~2 pages of folders of the type feeds.json-xxx.corrupt where xxx is some number, see attached image.

With the intention to re-subscribe to my feeds later, I have deleted all other folders in my podcasts folder. Trying to simply delete the feeds.json-xxx.corrupt folders did not work. How can I get rid of them?

(I am using the portable version of thunderbird)

So running thunderbird 115.10.1 (64-bit) and more and more issues:

• the app keeps getting non-responsive for long period of time, to fix this I have to force quit the app.
• at times when composing an email the app freezes where no typing occurs for seconds or typing is very slow or after typing awhile the text suddenly appears.

Seems to be happening more and more trying to figure out how it can return back to it's rockstar state when it was <99 version.

any help would be appreciated.

Just switching between inboxes can cause up to a 10 second delay with Thundebird "not responding" with the spinning wheel. It has been like this for the last few laptops I've had and through all the updates and I am getting ready to call it quits. I have Thunderbird 115.10.1 (32 bit) and Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit.

The reminder function quit working...nothing at all

I'll add an appointment ask for a reminder, but nothing happens however it used to work

I used to get a reminder email as well as a notice sent to my phone, but now nothing to include the folks I have invited to the event. No reminders for anyone. I have checked Notify Attendees and Separate Invitation per attendee on the Edit Event pop up the by nothing I do seems to work.

The goal is to get the reminder to the phone screen(s) and emails.

When I delete an email, it usually goes to the trash, so I can find it again. Now the emails are deleted permanently and disappear. How can I keep my emails in the trash? Sincerely Helle

Poczta Thunderbird nie ściągą nowych wiadomości, usuwane teraz stare, wracają do folderów głównych. Przy odbieraniu wiadomości pojawia się komunikat jak na zdjęciu. Ostatnia wiadomość pobrano ok. 100razy.

Thunderbird on my top of the range Win11 laptop was working perfectly until it self-updated to 115.10.1 a couple of days ago. Accessing messages already in the various folder is fast as usual. Unfortunately anything like deleting, downloading a new message is excruciatingly slow : several seconds to click and delete in the inbox. Several seconds to access a message just downloaded. The first time it happened I had a whole bunch of messages deleted because the I kept clicking when I saw no action. It seems to me like it has problem updating the messages in the inbox. Very painful for something that was working so well.

Bug forever (years, versions, reinstallations).

Failure by filters whose action is to DELETE. As stated in subject. Uncomplicated.

Other filters work (they distribute msgs into specified folders).

I have had a few emails that did not show up in the inbox listing, so the message count at the top indicated more messages than were listed. Doing a search showed them, and by moving them from the search results to another folder, and then re-searching and moving them back, caused most of them to appear. But not all - I still have a message count of 20, but only 19 listed, see photo 1. Photo 2 shows the hidden email (from Barry Chandler). So the email is there, it's just not visible!
