every time i closed my browser i was logged out of google. i have double check security, what means logining again is long and boring

i keep having to sign in to every website. bbc sounds, iplayer, amazon prime ITVX etc as if i using it for first time, have had many laptops and browsers inc firefox and this is first time i have had to sign in again and again and again..........can i fix this or do i have to get google chrome cos its annoying and unnecessary. thanks for your time
