When I bookmark a website and select edit, it does not show my created bookmarks to save too, nor can I move existing bookmarks to created folders, why not? I have to create a folder, then select all my existing important bookmarks and save them to the created folder. I can not later add any saved bookmarks to the created folder, why not? The Beta version has the same issue. Please make a change to allow for bookmark saving or moving to created folders. Thank you.

When I try to save a new URL, Web Page, by clicking on the "Star" on the tool bar menu, then selection my existing folder for my chosen location it is not saved, at least most of the time. It is however saved under Recently Bookmarked and is also in Manage Bookmarks. I can force it to save by selecting Bookmarks Menu. It then is at the bottom of all my saved folder. I then can copy and paste into my folder of choice. What do I need to do to make it save to the folder of choice immediately?

I realized that all the bookmarks I had saved for years are now missing when I search using the browser. I did find them in other locations, but how can I see specific bookmarks that are missing?

I just downloaded this browser and it keeps adding websites that I’ve visited to my bookmarks without asking. I’ve added the image below and I didn’t add the last three bookmarks. They just showed up. The last one is from this website asking me to sign into my account and even that got added to my bookmarks. How do I stop this?

I updated my version to 153.0. The Bookmarks left panel was there. I did a CTRL+B, this one disapeared normal But once done I wanted to have my Boorkmarl left pannel back. So I did CTRL+B no Bookmark left pannel was displayed :-(

I'm running Firefox 153.1 64-bit on Windows 11 Pro 25H2. I have a LOT of bookmarks. Possibly over 3,000. Somehow over time I've managed to create a LOT of bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks folder unintentionally. I need to move and merge those to the correct Bookmarks Menu and ideally eliminate any dupes. Everywhere I look for a process to accomplish this I seem to get a lot of "can't be done". Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help.

My question is how do I temporarily remove my bookmarks. I have many bookmarks, hundreds, and I want to disable them temporarily for a few days so they can't be seen by another person using my computer. How can I disable them, but then make them all reappear a few days later? Can someone help? Appreciate the help. Thank you.

So i have bookmarks i don't need anymore and when i click on the ones i want to delete i cant remove it... and so I googled how to remove it and this showed up and you delete everything maybe? Cause i need to bookmark stuff i need to see and use just help me please I'm begging you please.

I'm getting the following error message:

I don't know what prompted this concern on my Windows 11-based laptop, but I only noticed this last night doing some research for another issue. I don't have any of my bookmarks showing up in the bookmarks section, nor will it allow me to click the star on any tab to bookmark the page. I have restarted and shut down my laptop several times and this is not solving the concern. Let me know if you need more information or if I need to start this inquiry again elsewhere, but again it sounds like the same concern.

I have included a screenshot of the exact error for accuracy's sake. Like everyone else here, I'm trying to get my bookmark and history access back up and running but not sure how to go about it.

I couldn't get past the first fix suggestion because I am not sure how to restart Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional?as=u&utm_source=inproduct&redirectslug=The+bookmarks+and+history+system+will+not+be+functional&redirectlocale=en-US). I have restarted my laptop several times but the issue still persists.

Ironically, I am not having this issue on my older PC that is still operating on Windows 10. I can view history and access or add bookmarks with no concern to my knowledge.

For the past week, my sidebar doesn't automatically appear when I go to Firefox. It doesn't show up even if I click on it. I will show up if I quit Firefox and re-open it.
