Firefox stays on top when I open a new desktop on my Mac. How do I disable it?

I am using a Mac Book Pro OSX 10.7.5 I have multiple desktop options. Before I would be able to have firefox open in one desktop and have other applications even other browsers open in other desktops. I was able to scroll between them at leisure. Now for some unknown reason firefox stays on top of every desktop when I switch to it. Even if I open a new desktop firefox moves to that one. I want this to stop happening.

Did you installed any firefox addon to run in it background. or check firefox in start up application?

No. No add ons, or start up options that I know of.
