firefox freezes and beeps once new window opened

Recent new problem whenever i open up a new window, the browser will freeze and each time i click it'll beep at me. The only solution is to press alt+f4. So i upgraded to firefox 4, updated all my plugin's and the same thing is happening. Open in new tab is fine, but when i right click a link and open in new window or click the icon in my start menu it'll do the same each time. Any help please..

It happened to me as well. When I do click ALT+F4, it actually does not exit Firefox, it helped resume normal usage. Hope that might help. System: Win 7 home premium, FF4

Yeah as i mentioned, that's the only way i can resume normal browsing. But it happen's everytime i open a new window.

Do mod's or any tech folk from firefox actually reply to any of these thread's?

Enough folk seem to have the same problem!
