How to get FireFox to access links I select in my macmail application. Click on link and FireFox opens, but doesn't search for link.

When Safari is selected as default browser, clicking on a link found in an email (macmail) prompts Safari to open the linked page/site. But FireFox merely opens, doesn't go to the URL selected. What do I do?

Does that also happen if you disable all extensions?
