Thunderbird Unified Inbox

After purchasing a new computer and installing the latest version of Thunderbird, when I use the unified inbox, all messages are displayed twice. They are the same message and if I delete one both disappear. I currently have version 139.0.2 (64-bit). My older laptop has version 128.11.1esr (64-bit) and did not suffer from this problem. As far as I can tell, I have everything configured exactly the same on both laptops.

Install https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/unified-folders-debugging/?src=ss and follow the folder menu to do "repair"
