Continuous sign-in attempts for removed account

Hello,

I recently closed a Gmail account and removed it from Thunderbird however it continues to periodically attempt to connect to Google with the deleted account's identity.

Under Account Settings, the account has been removed and the Outgoing Server entry has been deleted. All Saved Logins for the deleted account have been removed. There are no calendars configured for the removed account. There are no extensions installed other than LookOut 6.3 which does not appear to be account-sensitive.

If it makes a difference, I am experiencing this with Thunderbird 128.5.2esr (64-bit) on Slackware Linux 15.0.

Short of burning the profile and creating a new one, I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

-d.

Chosen solution

I run Windows, not Linux but can you find the profile folder?

On Windows it's at C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\XXXX.default-release

I assume this is a POP account? And you do not currently have a gmail account on TB?

Modified by frisée

Is there a CardDAV address book for Google Contacts in Address Book? Its default name is 'Address Book'.

Thank you both, frisée's reply lead to some poking around in my profile's prefs.js where I indeed had an address book which I had overlooked. I couldn't remove it from the front end for reasons unknown, but a manual edit of prefs.js and deletion of the related abook* files did the trick.

Thanks again!
