Thunderbird 52.6.0 Win7 marking as Junk does not stop repeat messages

It seems that the last update I did to TB has generated my repeat junk messages. Previously, when I marked a message as Junk, new messages with a similar subject from the same sender would automatically go to the junk folder. Now I seem to get messages from the same junk sender and have to mark them again. Did something change in 52.6.0? Thanks

Training the junk filter is not necessarily a one-time action. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls#Training_the_Junk_Mail_Controls

Does marking a message from a particular sender, i.e. info@twitter.com as junk not supposed to automatically move to junk all future message from that sender? It seemed like that was the way it used to work. RenewalbyAnderson had been automatically going to junk for years and now it does not. I have lately been repeatedly marking it and messages still show up in my inbox.
