No, definitely not.

Firefox the browser application -- on desktop, Android, and iOS -- is Mozilla's main tool for implementing its mission: https://www.mozilla.org/mission/

It's too bad Firefox OS couldn't make much headway in the smartphone operating system market, but the project will continue with other "things" that are connected to the internet: https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2015/12/09/firefox-os-pivot-to-connected-devices/
