How do I change the view to vertical in the latest version of Thunderbird?

No matter how long and hard I've tried to find the answer to this, I cannot. I simply want to change the pane view to vertical view in the latest version of Thunderbird, and can't find out how. Any help?

The menu bar is hidden in the new versions. The old standby Windows shortcut keys of the alt key or F10 will make it appear.

View-Layout pick one of the 3 choices

If using the Menu Button (3 horizontal lines) click it, then hover over Options. layout is there.
