I run normal firefox on linux. Fully up-to-date. Every time I quit the app, it reverts to a version of my profile from a month ago, and loads all the tabs I had open then, and then receives all the tabs that I sent to the device in the interim (~1 month). As I speak, it just caught the 60 or 70 tabs in this window.

I tried changing the name of my profile folder to randomstring.defaultOLD and changed one of the backups to randomstring.default. This didn't change the behavior. I'm still stuck in the loop. I saved my tabs with onetab, because firefox isn't remembering my session anymore. I thought it was something to do with updates, like it only loses its mind upon updates, but that's not true. It thinks it's updating firefox EVERY TIME, because the one time it's loading to 1 month ago it was updating, but I'm 100% sure there are no updates to firefox in my linux. It's just hallucinating.

The articles on restoring from backup are outdated. They say to use an html file. There is no html file. It's just folders for profiles, not html files. HELP!

My bookmarks have not appeared . I have wasted 12 hours x 2 days and followed your instructions . I have not been able to find my bookmarks . I have noticed this is a common and chronic problem with many users . After donating money for years this is very diisappointing.

My Bookmarks (> 100) suddenly became corrupted yesterday while I was browsing. They don't go to anything that they are supposed to. There is no backup profile listed to recover. What do i do short of manually typing in all those bookmarks? Windows 11, No edge but I can use Chrome

I asked a question about how to sync my new laptop with the one on this old laptop (Windows 10) The problem I had is that the codes Mozilla sent to my email. That email is so slow that by the time I receive it, it already expired. This is the answer I got from a robot: One thing you could try is logging in to your email via a browser instead of the email app which could speed up the time it takes for you to get the email. Another solution is to manually copy the profile on your old computer putting it on a usb stick and the opening it on your new computer.

1. I always log onto my email via Firefox browser, and it still does not arrive before the code expires. 2. I went into my profile a clicked on "Copy Profile." Firefox copied my profile and asked me to rename it. I did that. Now there are two copies of my profile -- the original and the renamed one -- but my question now is: How do I copy it onto an USB drive? or how to "manually" copy my profile?

I have linux LMSDE7 Mint, Firefox will not sync. I click on the 3 top right corner lines, sign into Mozzilla, the bookmarks have not synced. Then if I go back to the same lines, it has still the "sign in" field, clicking has no reaction. It seems that mozilla is not signing in I have an other linux version, winux, there I have no problems, it syncs ok.

after the new version of firefox update my home page which i have always had Newsmax.com does not load says problem loading page i have tried several times and it will not load. it works in Google chrome so why not in Firefox

I am trying to sync my Firefox from my old laptop (Windows 10) to a new laptop (Windows 11) Mozilla sends verification code to my email, but my email is so slow that by the time this code arrives it already expired. a) Can verification code be sent to my phone? b) if not, how can I increase the time allowed for imputing the verification code to wait until I receive the code?

Please help to Dismiss the 'Stuck" Amazon icon on the main search page!

In the past weeks Mozilla VPN is not working in Italy. As of today, I cannot connect to any of Mozilla VPN servers. Everything fails, ping is stuck. I am connecting via Vodafone Italy as my ISP.

Hi There are image display issues with Firefox. The attached image shows a screenshot comparing the same page on Glazy.org: Chrome on the left and Firefox on the right. The image appears too dark in Firefox, making it difficult to work using that browser. Is this a bug or a setting that needs adjusting? I haven't been able to find a solution. Thanks for your help.

You can block types of contact you follow on the tab content page but you cannot block specific sources of that content. For example, I don't want to see any content from NBC, so how can I block that source?
