my phone gets stuck ,hangs.(a lot)

hello i'm using the "alcatel one touch fire" for about three weeks. i'm not over using it, just a few phone calls, very bit of internet, but for the last week i think(i'm not sure if it's due to the recent firmware update), the phone gets stuck a lot; espacially when trying to answer a call, and then the unlock screen option gets mixed with the answer call option and it all gets jamed/bugs etc, also the phone gets stuck sometimes when going from contacts screen to the dialer screen or vise versa. had it also ones with the video player, i'm not sur if it's an overall problem or just those application since these are those i mostly used . cam seems ok, internet just beiing a bit slow and a bit slow to respond too. anyhow yesterday i had to reboot the phone like 3 or 4 time until all seemed to get in place and work well, and today after rebooting and while the phone was restarting it got stuck in some welcome screen with the firefox logo so i had to take the baterry out.

are there gonna be any updates for the os soon? what should i do?(maybe going to default phone settings? or previous firmware version?) Thanks.

Hello,

I wouldn't reset the phone just yet. I would try the following before that.

After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.

  1. Take the back cover of the phone off.
  2. Take the battery out.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the back cover back on.
  8. Turn the device on.
  9. Check if the issue you were having is still present.

i did a soft reset, but mostly i did disable the lock screen option since i noticed it interferes with answering the phone, since they are both a drop down bar.(or maybe i don't do it right.) and for the time being(after a day of use) i had no major issues, any how i feel like the contacts app is a bit buggy and doesn't interact well with the dialer.

and the 'usage' app is buggy too, it appears many times as a blank and stuck page.
