Why I keep on getting the plugins page everytime I start Firefox...so annoying
getting the "Check your plugin" page showing on startup all the time. I need this to stop..how or I just need to use another browser.

It's because you seem to have an older version of the Java plugin that needs to be updated. Please update by going to www.java.com, installing the update, then restart Firefox.
