401 Unauthorized appears instead of web page. No login dialog displayed, pop-up not blocked

When I access web admin page of my home router I immediately get 401 Unauthorized Authorization required. Accessing from IE9 works fine. Also accessing from the same version (14 beta) on another PC works fine. When I check saved passwords, there is nothing related to this web page. Any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks

Try to clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
