How do I keep the font set at a larger size, it keeps going back to smaller and will not stay where I set it.
I increase the font size by hitting the alt key going to zoom, and setting the font at size I like, when I change the page I have to do it again all over. It will not stay set at one size for all pages. How can this be accomplished?

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension:
