I have upgraded to Firefox 8 and can not get a Home button on my toolbar
There does not seem to be an option to add a Home button to the toolbar. There isn't even a Home button listed under the button customization menu.

I couldn't find it either, but it is way over to the right instead of on the left It is a little house.

I know what it should look like, but it just physically ain't there. (Please do not read this as being sarcastic.)
I just went back into the customize toolbar menu and the option to add the Home button was now in there. Problem solved. Thank-you for the reply JennaM4.
I figured out if you right click on the task bar and then uncheck menu bar then it comes back :)
