When connecting to a secure site the lock icon is not displayed to indicate that it is a secure connection. Nor have I noticed any type of notice that a connection is secure.

Credit the-edmeister

The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button.
