When I try to import my bookmarks from the .json file, nothing happens

Before I reformatted my computer, I backed up my bookmarks to a .json file. Now when I try to restore the bookmarks from the file, they don't seem to show up.

I get the "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure?" dialog box, click OK and then nothing appears in my bookmarks menu.

Make sure that the file has a .json file extension.
