How do I move folders, and why do I not get the drop down when I hit the star symbol to bookmark?
In trying to find out how to move a folder I created, I realised that I am supposed to see a drop down menu so I can name my folder, etc etc. I created my folder in Bookmarks Toolbar, 'cos that's the only place I could find the phrase 'new folder' . I created it and moved my sites into it, & now cannot find out how to move it to a more appopriate place. So my questions are, How do I move a folder, Why couldn't I see 'new folder' in the place I wanted to create it, which was the Bookmarks Menu, and thirdly, why aren't I getting the drop down menu, so I can organise my bookmarks? Please , dear volunteers, remember that all of us are not tech heads, some of us have only a limited knowledge, but aren't dumb!!

Easiest to manage bookmarks is to use the Bookmarks Manager.
You can create new folders and new bookmarks in the three main folders ("Bookmarks Toolbar","Bookmarks Menu","Unsorted Bookmarks") or their sub folders, but you can not create a new folder at the root level ("All Bookmarks"). In the Bookmarks Manager you can also create a new folder via the Organize menu. In the Bookmarks sidebar (Ctrl+B) you can do that via the right-click context menu.
You can use Cut and Paste to move a folder. That is usually more precise and easier than dragging a bookmark or a folder.
