I have a popup box asking for a password that I don't, and never had, before it inginates firefox and I have found no way to remove it.
A popup box appears on screen when I try to turn on Firefox browser. I have never had to use a password before this box appeared. Funny thing is that when I click cancel the box disappears and Firefox comes to life. After searching I have found no way to remove this box and it is unnecessary. Would appreciate directions as how to remove this box.

It sounds like when you activate Fx it is accessing another site. Check Settings > Home page and set a specific URL to set if it stops
