Firefox will not open, was fine last night but trying to open this morning it is as if it has disappeared, no window opens up at all
It is as if Firefox has disappeared from my desktop. I click on the shortcut but nothing happens. It was working fine last night. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but still nothing. A window does not even appear.

If you instead of the shortcut launch it from its folder, or somewhere where it's actually installed, is there any difference?
Hi mate, still no luck with either suggestion.
There's a tip in support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594562#answer-1833974 to “Run this program in compatibility mode” that seemed to help on some older HW/OS if you wanted to try that.

That's wrong, Windows 10 is supported by Firefox (and will be supported for quite a while).
