Remove website suggestion from URL dropdown?
Hi folks,
Is there a way to remove website suggestions from the URL address bar dropdown? I visited a site once in the past month (orbitz.com), and now it's featured/stuck in the suggestion dropdown, replacing sites that I visit daily. The cynical side of me says these businesses paid to have their URL stuck in the dropdown, but maybe that's just cynicism. Can I remove sites like this?
Thanks!

Hey there, yes you can do that by simply clicking the three dots next to the suggestion and click "remove from history". Read more about it here: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/firefox-suggest#w_manage-your-address-bar-suggestions
Hope that was helpful :)
Thanks. I saw that recommendation in search, but the problem is that I don't see the dots for making this choice. Maybe I'm confused about where they are, but they don't appear in the dropdown.
So in order for them to appear you need to hover over the said link with your mouse, and you will see them appear on the right of the link. Let me know if that worked.
Thanks Konstantina,
No, they don't show up. Maybe it's an OS thing - I'm on a older iMac that's running Monterey, 12.7.6

I doubt it, it sounds more like a bug... Can you update to 153 for Firefox and see if the problem remains?
I am currently using 153.
The easiest would be to remove that site completely from history.
You can either search for any occurrence in the history panel, or go to clear history and site data and remove any orbitz mentions.
The "•••" only shows on suggestions, whereas plain recent sites are provided by some relevance/frequency/sort logic — so depending on what is the current page, address bar content, and the types of sections suggested, it may or may not show, I've recorded some states where the same entry is both suggested or not, depending on the typeahead matches:
