Nonstop tab crashes.
My tabs crash all the time. Sometimes it'll go a while without crashing, other times it's literally every two seconds. Particularly if I'm doing anything that doesn't autosave. Thanks. Sometimes it's just whatever tab I'm on (or occasionally I'll click on one I've had open in the background only to discover it crashed at some point, other times (and not infrequently!) it crashes the entire browser. Sometimes when it does that, it also logs me out of everything for no particular reason as a little sadistic cherry on top. The passwords are still saved I'm just logged out of EVERYTHING. A few times, it seemed to have made my bookmarks go away, but force-stopping it and re-entering made them reappear, so they weren't deleted. I don't know what's going on but I'm at my wit's end. The crash reports mostly just say EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE (I haven't checked every single one individually since there's too many, but the ones I've clicked on all say that as far as I recall). If this keeps up I'm going to have to switch browsers or something because I'm actually losing it.

You might want to e.g. restart into Troubleshoot Mode from Help menu to see if you can avoid this instability without addons, more conservative hardware preferences etc., but the reality is these crashes are so all over the place it's gonna be haunting you more and more no matter what.
Definitely look into any firmware updates from Intel (they ship microcode revisions via motherboard firmware updates IIUC), however I'd also start considering any potential warranty extensions offered given the scale of the issue: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raptor_Lake#Instability_and_degradation_issue

I DID try reinstalling Firefox a while ago. No dice.
Just found out it also deleted my entire OneTab history. Joy.
If your crash reports got submitted, please paste their IDs here:
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Ah, wait, technically those are yesterday's, and *these* 5 are slightly more recent. They were at the bottom because I submitted them recently. IDK.

I don't know what that means. You are speaking Greek to me, except I would understand Greek better.
Oh that's a good sample either way, generally within the past release cycle is good enough, and they also tend to come in different order so the latest submitted might have crashed months ago in reality so it's just to help spread out the chances of looking at anything relevant. In this case having all of these helps, as this is crashing in absolutely random places, every single report being unique.
Unfortunately this points to a hardware problem, in case of these reports the most common cause is the Raptor Lake CPU, see e.g. here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1582828#answer-1820722

....Ah!!! I. cannot afford a new laptop right now. So that's... great news. It's strange, though, I've had this laptop since February of last year. Feels both like too long for a bug to randomly develop and too short to have it already fritzing out on me at the same time... Maybe I can get a replacement? Although I don't recall if I purchased a warranty, unless it just came with one... Here's to hoping, I guess.
Thank you so much for the help! I appreciate the explanation (and the patience lol).
I've been helpfully informed that apparently my laptop is one of the few that is NOT eligible for replacement for some reason, despite also having this bug, so I guess I'm just screwed
- Your CPU may be more prone to crashing due to the hot summer.
- Please check if there are any BIOS updates available for your motherboard.

1. I doubt it, as the problems started (albeit on a smaller scale) a while ago, though I guess it is possible it's been at least worsened by that because it is very hot outside. 2. I'm sorry to be a ridiculous baby man, but how do I do that.
If you get this freeware utility: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU-Z for Windows to display your CPU details, does it confirm to be "Raptor Lake, Model: 6, Ext. Model: B7" exactly?
There must be some forums online where the affected users share their tips, including pursuing any replacement programs with either their supplier, the actual laptop manufacturer or local distributor, or the CPU vendor or their representatives directly in some way. (Not that I have any tips offhand, folks just mostly go vent to reddits and the like these days.)
But generally if the seller of your device doesn't sound helpful in this claim, definitely look for other options going up the chain as the extended warranty offers should come directly from Intel IIUC.
As for the crashes, there are two groups pertaining to Raptor Lake flaws: one is super consistent failing on the exact same call and these point to permanent damage to the actual silicon (and are attempted to get worked around in code, if feasible); the other kind is this sort of absolutely random crashes all over the place (where in some occurrences you're the only person on planet hitting that address, in some others just one of five people, to give you some perspective) — and these noisy hardware issues don't necessarily point to something permanent right away, rather the general unreliability of that system.
You might find some success in looking into "underclocking" your CPU, to dial down the voltage a bit, and also getting any firmware updates installed for whatever's available for your device — not sure if that's completely a "end user" feat, but you might start looking into resources by throwing your device name plus "firmware" or "bios" or some similar keyword into a search engine and see if it leads you to something useful. Maybe your device vendor has a self–serve portal to help you point towards any step–by–step guides they might have?
It actually says Raptor Lake, Family: 6, Model: 7, Ext. Model: B7. I know the HX at the end of the i9 processor name is what disqualified me from a warranty, but I also know I'm not the only one with this specific computer who's had problems (I did find a reddit thread or two naming the i9-14900HX specifically) so IDK. I plan to ask my brother's fiance who is much better with computers to help try and update the bios (see: some of those reddit threads, which could occasionally be confusing) but I'll also look into underclocking and such... (Thanks again for your help!!)
