I do not know if this is exactly what you're talking about, but this is what I did after I downloaded Firefox and imported my bookmarks from Chrome. 1. Get to settings. Click the ☰ on the far left of the search bar > Settings -OR- Type settings into the search bar (don't click enter) > Select Manage settings which appears beneath. -OR- Command + ,
2. Click 'Home' Under General. Settings > Home > New Windows and Tabs.
3. Then you can select what you want to appear when you first open Firefox or a new window. You can also select what you want to appear when you make a new tab. There are options like just putting in a website or opening many bookmarks. You can also customize the Firefox page itself in that part of settings or when you visit the default homepage it seems.
By the way, I selected 'Custom URL' for 'Homepage and new windows' and entered the website I wanted. It seems to automatically save without making a big thing about it, but you can confirmed it worked by just opening a new window.
I am a newbie myself but I hope this helps.
