Suggestion: It would be very nice to be able to filter the Mozilla add-ons pages to exclude extensions that don't work with your version

Like I said, "It would be very nice to be able to filter the Mozilla add-ons pages to exclude extensions that don't work with your version"

How are you trying to locate addons ? Via a browser like Firefox or via Thunderbird?

In Thunderbird

  • Menu app icon > Addons and Themes
  • Select 'Extensions'
  • In top search type something to find an addon eg: folder
  • press Enter

Search returns results On the left side there is a filter - it will say 'Works with' followed by two options: your version of Thunderbird and 'All Systems' If you click on the bit that mentions 'Thunderbird version number' - it opens up a list so you can choose another version if required.

In other words the option to display addons extensions that will work with your current version or to check if it works with a version you may want to update to - it's already available and has been available for a very very long time.

The https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/add-ons/35 site would be a better place.

Sorry. I don't understand that site. Just tired of wading through add-ons that don't work with recent versions of Mozilla apps.

That link is the place to discuss things related to the addons.mozilla.org site.
